the button conditional refers to mouse button (left and right click) and you really don't want to use your cursor to put your pet in passive. Anyway it's possible, but the corrent syntax is [button:1] (: instead of space)

    Cool thanks. So...

    /petattack [button:1]
    /petassist [button:1]
    /petfollow [button:2]
    /petpassive [button:2]

I'm afraid I'm still an action-bar clicker and use my cursor to do most things. This macro lets me use just one space for pulling my pet out of combat if he's causing problems, then send him back in when he's ready to behave.
