I just decided to make guild banks and use them to store things. Rather than have to open thousands of them when the wardrobe comes into play. Still have to mail them to appropriate characters and use them etc, but it'll save time.
I prefer to open these things now. You need only one item with a certain look to get the appearance in the wardrobe, and I have plenty of low level alts with large bags to store interesting items (1-3 for each armour type) thanks to connected servers. Any duplicates or looks I don't care about get vendored. Also I plan to level some of these alts, and such use some of the blue items dropping from the crates right away in slots which are not filled with heirlooms.
I also don't have enough space on my level 100 characters to stockpile crates, since most of them already have an extensive collection of items from leveling, instances, and transmog/mount runs.
I guess I'm inadvertently doing this because I've been too lazy to do anything other than log on, do their tables and log out
Not sure but you might have a problem. Not only personally but with bagspace as well. :P
However - yes, this could be quite a goldmine for you if you sell those transmogs in the AH as well. But my OCD will not let me have more than 20 of those Crates in my bags. I cannot. It makes me already sick, that my bank is full of sets/weapons I have lying around until the Legion Prepatch comes out.
Pretty sure it's just BagBrother - which comes with Bagnon. I could be wrong but I sure as hell couldn't live without it.
This one is Altoholic.
Also for anyone slightly interested, I use ArkInventory and made a rule to hide the Salvage Crates from my bags, then I use a macro similar to this on all my toons.
Kyra Goldhands is the lady banker in my Alliance toons Storehouse and /din Big Crate is an addon called Dumpster that dumps all of my crates into my bank for me when the Bank window is up. This way I dont have to look at the crates or think about them, I just do my garrison chores and when I'm done I interact with the banker lady, hit my garrison hearthstone macro and it banks my crates for me.Code:#showtooltip Hearthstone /use [btn:2]Garrison Hearthstone /use The Innkeeper's Daughter /use Hearthstone /tar Kyra G /din Big Crate

How sour will you guys be when at 7.0.1, salvage crates become vendorable grey items?

I've got 9 guild tabs full of items across 2 guild banks atm, so in order to stem the flow I scrapped my scrapyards on my 12 characters on connected realms because that's enough items to handle, anything I miss is like 1 days worth of running old content anyway so I don't care. I'd rather pile up extra Alch Catalysts each day on 12 guys to make more vendor trinkets than struggle to accomodate all the rest of my stuff in my gbanks and personal banks plus Crate items.

Banned at least 10 times. Don't give a fuck, going to keep saying what I want how I want to.
Eat meat. Drink water. Do cardio and burpees. The good life.
I just open all of mine.
The epics that drop still sell for quite a bit.
Rather take the income from it than it becoming useless in Legion.
I highly doubt that they will nerf salvage yard as it is the only place to get certain transmog items that have been removed from game.
But GL to all your hoarders and all your openings.
I only need 1 transmog set and that is my Full CM set
I made a bank toon with guild bank to store all the boe's while holding all the bop's, simply because Blizzard usually nerf's everything to the ground with pre-patch/new expansion.
I think the herbs and ore will go better now, especially on weekends, rather then when everyone is trying to sell off, to make room; however you could always benefit buying super low, and selling for profit. I've made 10's of thousands of gold buying dirt cheap and reselling at a reasonable price. You can also deflate the market, buy out competition, and reenter at a profit, but as time goes on this becomes more of a gamble.
Your best bet would be getting an auction addon that you can scan your server with then scrolling over them will give you an idea.
You have to remember that most of the playerbase doesnt come to fansites for information so many dont know about the wardrobe yet. My assumption is that after WoD launch there will be a huge surge of people buying greens so even the ones not worth a lot now may be worth banking.
