What is the strongest weapon of mankind? The god-machines of the Adeptus Mechanicus? No! The Astartes Legions? No! The tank? The lasgun? The fist? Not at all! Courage and courage alone stands above them all!

On a more serious note. The courage of the few to do what is required, or sometimes even demanded, for the greater good stands above all.
Patch 1.12, and not one step further!

Yes to me mans highest offering is music

Music can be universally appreciated by any and all forms of life with the common ability to hear

Music transcends time and space, it's relevance and worth is eternal

Its simple, helping your fellow man. Assuming there is some other good that man can provide, a greater good would be enabling others to provide more of it. For example- a medic is worth more than a soldier in a wartime setting because a medic can save multiple soldiers.

Forgiveness. To understand that someone has done something wrong and try to not to treat them differently because of it.

The Internet is the greatest and worst thing we've ever unleashed on our species.

    +1

Other than that, I'd say art and philosophy. We've had many achievements by moving forward in science and technology, and that's how we evolve as a species, but our way of thinking, our philosophic approach on what we do and how we feel, and also the music we create and the stories we write, is what I believe makes us special.
So, I guess our greatest weapon is - imagination?

Someone I really respect told me once... (it was in social science - Adorno seminar) it's music. Since then I really try hard and sometimes I can actually get really high adrenaline when listening to music (I am also interested in live "Flash-mob"s and what they do with their environment). This is quiet interesting. There were other responses back then, like the "catharsis" of theater and so on.

What do you think is the greatest good of humanity? What is probably able to touch most of us... and since I like the dark side. How can it be instrumentalized? Is it actually used by economy or politics?
There is nothing good or bad about humanity's creations or emotional products. "Good and Bad" in themselves are human constructs, as in the end it's all about what strokes your brain.

For example i really dislike opera as to me it's just some diluted soup made out of wierd yelling and old philosofical concepts. I also dislike most of philosophy, especially when it's taken seriously by some individuals as it's just some people's opinion, smart people yes but still they are opinions. There are more things that i dislike but let's not get into that as i would write for a good 30 mins.

Indeed music can be considered humanity's greatest achievement as it's the best form of emotional communication and acts like a mood-altering drug.

I think humanity's greatest achievement will be a machine or technique in which we could explain things to people and people would actually understand, then scientists, teachers, great people would be able to explain to the whole world what is the right path towards world peace. Everyone around the world would understand that god doesn't exist, but will still keep religion around "for fun" like we keep Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, that hate only feeds more hate and destruction, that kids should be concieved based on the family income and not the other way around and that violence and lack or respect against close ones only breeds distrust, mental illnesses and sometimes hate, whether it's phisical/verbal etc. If we would achieve this, the world would be a paradise all around

We have added the element styrofoam to the earth.

External to humans is there any way to judge "good"? Probably not, so the question sort of becomes relevant. The only question than is what is the greatest good humanity has done for itself.

I am confused on the word good, so I asked myself this: What is the greatest invention of humanity, created by humanity, for humanity?

Cultivation, agriculture. Agriculture is an effective energy gain, giving humans enough time and energy for critical scientific inquiry. Foraging and hunting tribes didn't and those existing yet don't have enough time and energy for meaningful inquiry, and for a development of meaningful information transfer (knowledge).
