Not sure what the point was. People asked why should they get infracted for promoting violence, when it's a rule. Mods used to be much stricter on rules than they are now, mostly because of the "leftist bias!" whining that happened for awhile (and still does). A fight between two people breaks out for many pages, they both get infracted, the right winger cries left wing bias.
These days really controversial topics are just left alone by mods, and you can even notice that they don't even take part in the discussion, more than likely because the administration tells them not to, because any infractions handed out even for blatant rule breaking is viewed by some of the forum goers as biased. So rule breaking has just become a thing in those threads, except for egregious cases.

I've been on this forum since 2009 and I believe that it has been changing for the worse. With WoW declining and people being unhappy with the game, as well as the increase of some very outlandish posts in the off-topic sections of this forum over the past few years, I'd say the quality of this forum has decreased. There have always been shit posts on this forum since I joined (and I would imagine since before I joined as well), but the amount of these posts have greatly increased recently.

I mean I remember the first couple election cycles when I got here. The quality of discourse was miles ahead of what it is now.
When we have definitive proof that immigrants aren't really border hopping any more, post graphs and data, and someone calls it a government conspiracy, not really sure what else to call it. I realize that people have a hard time giving up on ideas that they've become so passionate about though, even in the face of overwhelming evidence.

That is what happens with the left, their policies sound all good and nice when you discuss them- but when you carry them through....... Just look at Obama/Hillary's "Arab Spring."
One of Obama's goals was to extend an olive branch to the Mid East. It sounds all nice and good in theory, we are nice people? Right? Let's all be friends- surely we can come to a common understanding..... sure sounds great, but what did we get? The whole region is destabilized, a long, devastating civil war in Syria, our Embassy was attacked and our ambassador killed, a new cold war with Russia and the rise of Isis....
How is that "olive branch" working out? The best part is that Hillary was a major part of that policy and she is not being held accountable at all for her part in it.

Conspiracy posting used to be pretty well taken care of, now it's all but ignored.
We had that one thread from a pretty regular shitposter doing a faux support of the government stealing all the money of the rich and handing it out the poor to make fun of socialism. It went on for 20+ pages, never got locked, was filled with memes, spam and idiocy.
People whine about this being a hive of liberal SJW's that will swarm you the minute you say anything bad, but really now, you look at any thread about that topic and it's a bunch of regressive righties swarming you for daring to challenge their ridiculously bias and aggressive view towards anyone who doesn't see gay marriage as an abomination or likewise.

Yeah it's gotten pretty bad. Way worse than what it was when I first joined.
