Issue with act 1 of Diablo

I just bought diablo 3, inserted the CD and it automatically sent me to battlenet, and installed the game through there. I started the game up and played up until the skeleton king as a mage. Then I realized i hadn't entered the game authorization code when it said i was just playing the sample version after killing the skeleton king. So i put in the auth. code and relogged. I have my lvl 10 mage, but as i entered the game again, it started all over, right at the beginning with a templar, doing lvl 1 missions to get into the city to meet Cain. I have all my lvl 10 gear also.Really weird. Should I just restart the game all over or what?

Looks like you didn't activate your game license if you don't get to reach past the skeleton king.

Anyway everytime you logoff you start back at the town, there are the waypoints to get back to the other zones istantly.

look under quests under campaign mode, u should see it right where you left off, probably reign of the mad king.
