Question Going abroad at the end of apprenticeship

    Hello MMOChamps,

I know this is not the best site to ask for serious life advice, but I am a little overwhelmed with all these things and I know there's some pretty cool and smart people on here, so I figured I give it a try.
I'm currently still doing my apprenticeship to be an IT Specialist in Germany. I want to go somewhere else (US) when I'm done in about a year from now, and I wanted to start look for things now. Does anyone have any experiences with that, or can show me where I need to go to get more information on that? I will be 21 at the end of it, I would describe my English as good and I've been to the US a couple times before. I kinda want to go there for a timed thing first (like half a year or a year), to make sure it really is what I'd like to do. If I realise that's my thing, I wouldn't mind staying there for an indefinite amount of time, basically live there. Any experiences on that? I though I could apply to a company here, one that is international and just ask to get transferred. Or can I just apply for a company over in the US and they will get a work Visa for me? do you think it would work with my qualifications? (not much, I know ) What do you think how it can be done?
hope you could figure out what I want here.

thank you all very much for your serious answers!

Do you have a degree? I imagine it is rather hard to go there without a university degree. As for working in an international company and going abroad, it's a dice roll. You will not be transfered on your request. It's business. If they need someone abroad, and you are the guy to go, that's how you go in corporations. Also, it is highly likely that you would be needed in countries that German companies provide services rather than USA.

My friend told me it is not that hard to find a job in USA, especially if you are from a country where college education is high quality (Germany). They conduct a Skype interview and then invite you but I am almost sure you need a B.S. degree.
