Trump Information 'Leaked' by Anonymous Has Been Online for a While

Self-identified members of the loosely organized hacktivist group Anonymous posted what they claimed to be cellphone and Social Security numbers for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Thursday — but the information appears to have been floating around online for a while.

A video claiming to be from Anonymous led to a post on the website Ghostbin, where unidentified people posted a Social Security number for Trump that appears to have been floating around online since at least 2013. It was unclear whether the number was actually Trump's.

The post also listed a cell phone number for Trump — which the Republican front-runner himself tweeted out in August 2015, one day after Gawker published the number.

That website had posted Trump's number after the businessman himself gave out then-rival GOP presidential candidate Senator Lindsey Graham's number in July of last year.

A call to the number on Thursday evening led to a voicemail message saying the number was not available.

Other information in the post alleging to be from Anonymous included such publicly available information as the names of Trump's children and the address of Trump Tower. It is a common tactic among online pranksters to publish information that is already available on the Internet and act as though it is new.

"The government and law enforcement authorities are seeking the arrest of the people responsible for attempting to illegally hack Mr. Trump's accounts and telephone information," Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks said on Thursday in response to the alleged hack of the candidate's information.

Looks like this elite hacker group has egg on their face.

I also think it is funny that when people do that to women they don't like on the internet it is World War III, but when they do that to Trump they are heroes. Seems pretty juvenile to me.

I equate this ...with that school kid who took his teachers cell phone, went through it and sent her pic around to everyone he knew.
Private info being spread...attempting to ..throw dirt on a person.

Probably not anonymous, it's like one of the Sony hacks where there was a conveniently placed calling card saying anonymous did it. Probably some dbags who think people will throw up their hands and say it's just anonymous if they claim to be them.
