    Which they currently don't do. If they make a best effort search for an American to do the job (cause they often don't) and need to hire someone though H1B it would be mandatory to pay them the prevailing salary for the position.

    Would a lot of the issues with this visa not be solved, by simple requiring the companies to pay the H!b h1b visa receivers the same wage as US citizens? I know that unions who ensure stuff like this happens are not as big in US as in other countries, but some kind of worker-driven force could, and in my opinion, should be made.

    They should only be used when a qualified US worker cannot be found regardless of cost and only when the job is staying in the US even after the visa expires.
