Why do people think Trump is racist towards Hispanics?

Nonthing in his speech has mentioned mestizo, Amerindian or Hispanic even. And Mexican is not a race it is a nationality l, so technically it isn't racism by definition. Being Mexican is as much of a race as an American. Same goes for Muslims they're not a race but a religious group.

This would make Hillary Clinton look like an idiot for calling out Trump a racist when she can't even see the difference between race and nationality.

I'm American and my ancestors are Mexicans and I don't feel any hatred from the guy. Most people associate illegals with Mexicans, so they just jump the gun and say he hates all immigrants and is racist. Why other Mexicans think they are a race is beyond me; ignorance is my guess.
