    But I ask for a reason. When you look at the patch notes, you will see 13 dps specs with a sentence stating that "all" or "most" of their damage dealing abilities have been increased by X%.

    Feral, together with 9 other dps specs, does not have a sentence stating that.

    Now, having so many of the dps specs gain so much extra dps on most or all of their abilities, and then leave Feral out of that general buff, would seem illogical, because that would leave Feral underpowered. So it is probably just an omission in the patch note.

    The guide on wowhead seems to support this. There, buffs to specific Feral abilities are listed - but not all of them: Swipe is not mentioned, so what should be our primary direct damage AoE ability is left out, even though it has been woefully underpowered the entire expansion. Lunar Inspiration is not mentioned here either, making that talent the underperformer among tier 1 talents.

    But if Shred, Rake, Rip and Ferocious Bite are buffed by 22%, and Ferocious Bite is buffed on top of that by 30% (the numbers of wowhead seems to support that), Feral will become a dps juggernaut.

    No, you just straight up didn't read the patch notes thoroughly.

    Every spec receiving actual "buffs" is getting those buffs because blizzard is making gameplay changes that would result in a nerf to the spec.

    Feral isn't getting a flat buff because we aren't getting gameplay changes. Standard Feral spec stays as strong as it is on live, and only gets stronger with new legendaries and the new set bonus.

    Gz. As I said to a guildie, they are updating the boxes in general. A box in your bag has the same ID as a box that you're currently working on with WQ. So when they update it, everything gets updated.
    I got 9 unfortunately. And 2 relinq trinkets I can buy. Hoping for the best.

    Yes, it has something to do with the damage buff, because it reduces the opportunity cost of spending CP on FB instead of Rip. You lose less by using greedy Bites.

    The 22% buff is just the buff aura they've been using to tune our damage throughout Legion, it's not that we're getting 22% more damage from 7.2 to 7.2.5. And as was mentioned, you can't "double pick" the talent that the ring gives.

    They essentially nerfed the set by over 50%(1 energy per Rip tick down from 2, 4 sec increased Rip duration down from 8 and 10% Rip damage down from 15%)

    Is that single target? Because if so, our relative position in raids will be underperforming, given that most encounters will have phases where AoE abilities are used extensively. And as I see it, the simmed top dogs in that chart (warriors, mages, locks and hunters) are usually pretty good at high burst AoE.

    Looking a bit beyond merely Feral, there is a gap of 500.000 dps between highest and lowest. That seems non-trivial - as in, most progression guilds will probably stack certain classes and specs. So there'll probably be nerfs before ToS Mythic starts.

    Pretty frustrating. The damage nerf is whatever, maybe even justified if it was looking too strong on cleave. The duration would have bridged the gap between perfect and...less-than-perfect gameplay though and would have been great for the Feral community. *shrug* Just my $0.02 but Blizzard really didn't help anyone with the nerfs.

    Agreed. The timing and energy tweaks would have just been nice to help smooth out the game play and give a little bit more room for error. Would love to have just had those teaks remained and lost some of the % damage as a trade. QOL.
