So Microsoft has this AI bot that is supposed to do customer service. They gave the AI access to twitter. At first things were okay



Then it started going a little wonky



And as it learned it started picking up some really bad habits



Microsoft finally shut it down after 24 hours

Shit's pretty hilarious. I'm not sure what Microsoft was thinking by unleashing an AI with no parameters onto the widespread public internet.

It is pretty stupid that now it's back up spouting a single ideology. It essentially negates the purpose in which they made AI for, to learn and eventually be able to do customer service automatically.

And before the SJW crew around here get all uppity because the bot was spouting nonsense against their ideology, the bot went after whatever anybody posted to it enough times:

Cool experiment. Not anywhere close to true AI, but it's useful to see how easily "corrupted" programs can be if you just unleash them on all that information without boundaries or "values".
