I would imagine the next up would be their car.

Not much in a single purchase will equal a car or property. Unless people sum up stuff for a degree or something like that.
house yes. car - no :P at least not yet. our current car was cheaper than our furniture. granted - it was enough furniture to furnish the house, but it was still about eight thousand total, maybe 9? (didn't buy everything at the same store) car was ... less :P

oh wait, right - single purchase. well.. $6000 for one of the stores... still... less then a car :P

Building my computer took a whopping $1150. But I have a limted edition Star Wars framed set of artwork worth closer to $2500, didn't pay half of that, though.

If we count cars... 10.3k on a car... taxes and registration included, etc. If we're not counting cars... then my husband's gaming laptop for 1,400 dollars. Would have bought him a desktop, but he's in the Navy and needed something mobile for when he deploys. We had the extra money, so we bought the damn thing :P

House > Car > Central Air (addon)

After that, it just kind of goes to things like furniture/electronics/computers...

Probably going to redo the windows this summer, so that's likely going to be taking over either the second or third spot on the list.

If you read what I wrote I said I have bought more expensive things like the two mentioned but to not give the same generic answers I mentioned something else that was a large purchase.

If it only took you a few months to save up $3k, you're hardly poor.

He said he paid 1.25 million, not 125k. 125k is a bit low, I'd expect to pay in my area 150k-200k.

Roughly 1,800k on land for a few housing developments. I'm not certain of the total development cost however, it's technically still ongoing.
