Where do they get that idea from? Ancient Egypt, Iraq, and India all had highly developed civilizations with major urban centers, writing systems, metallurgy, and even plumbing (key to survival ofc) long before any trace of civilized life appeared in Europe. In fact, much of Northern Europe, where the superior Nordic stock is supposedly derived, remained as an undeveloped backwater right through antiquity and well into the Middle Ages, with some areas like Lithuania not showing evidence of written language until the 1500's!
