In most places, 30k is way above the average salary.

Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh. You touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding.

You are not gonna get a very good indicator when your highest option is only 30k.

    you really should have 30-50, 50-70, 70-100, and 100+

While I am not in the 100k+ bracket myself, you'd be surprised how many people are actually in them.

This thread is really assuming the majority lives in poverty, the results show it.

It's like "how tall are you?" With the options being 1-2ft, 2-3ft, 3-4ft, 4ft+. Of course 99% will be 4ft, it's a dataless poll.

Maybe he is doing the other way round, that way he can say "90% of gamers are generally living a decent life"

PS. I am shocked only 75% are above 30k......

Then he assumes everyone who replies identify as a gamer. I play WoW like 4 hours a week max :P

Can I identify as an athlete because I bowl Monday nights?

    No, because bowling isn't athletic.

You can call yourself a bowler, though.
'Twas a cutlass swipe or an ounce of lead
Or a yawing hole in a battered head
And the scuppers clogged with rotting red
And there they lay I damn me eyes
    All lookouts clapped on Paradise
All souls bound just contrarywise, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!

    How active are you?

    1) never
    2) 1-2 hours of exercise a month
    3) 1-2 hours of exercise a week
    4) 7+ (average 1 hour per day) exercise a week

NOTE: anything that require physical movement or physical skill counts

Now you have a poll that say majority of gamers do stay active.

Why is the cutoff at 30,000? Even in Euros, that isn't all that much.

I will just say this.... within a 5 mile radius of my home, the median income in 2014 was $115,000 USD.

So why is it so damn expensive to visit? We were blown away that a 10 day trip there from the USA would be about $15,000 USD. ( including airfare which was about $4000 of the $15K )

The guy making 7K a year is not the one taking all of your monies XD. Just like how south east asia is fairly expensive to visit. Yet the average income is ~600 USD/month.

Indeed, I dont know of anyone making less than 30k USD in a full time job. Basicly, if you have a full time job (37,5-40hr work week), whatever that job is, chances are high that you make 30k or above (Norway). I think the average is like 60k, tho that also includes the multi millionaires, dunno what it would be if we removed the 5-10% richest people, random guess: above 30k

Theres people on welfare/disability benefit that rakes in more than 30k, we pay like a % of what they used to earn, so a guy making 100k would get a fuckton in welfare if he got sick.

    Taxes are also high.

Cost of living is quite low, I have a car, my own apartment, a computer and never lack for any needs.

Currently zero. Peak at my last big job though was still in the first bubble, because schools don't appreciate/can't afford real IT people on campus.
