Will Pascal cards include hardware HEVC decoder?

AFAIK GTX950/960 are only cards on the market right now that has hardware decoder for 10-bit HEVC video at 4k.
Will Pascal cards also support this?

Usually any new generation of cards inherits the latest media features, so chances are that it will. We won't know 100% until its out however.

Usually yes, but 970/980Ti didn't get that feature so I wouldn't be surprised if Polaris cards won't have it. Today's CPU can't handle 10bit HEVC via software and Skylake chips only have 8-bit HW support. It would suck to buy GTX950 just for this feature.

    Polaris will support 4k h.265 encode at 60FPS and h.265 10-bit HEVC main10 decode at 4k.

You are mixing AMD and NVIDIA here, Polaris is not NVIDIA.
Ant the reason 970/980 didn't have it is because 950/960 are about 4-5 months newer, they were not released at the same time.

How could I have missed this. I assume Pascal cards will also support at least main10. Thanks.
