It was a mount made to be used my Beastlord Darmac. The model is inside the game, it would fit any character, but it is simple not avalible inside the game for any character.

Dont think it will be a mount for sale.

exactly this. We get alot of skins, they complain it's all reused. We get a few skins, and we don't get enough.

welcome to common day : / vanilla we get 8 horses, bc we get 6 nether drakes,6 gyrphons,(horde version also) 6 nether rays, 8 talkbuk, wrath we get like 8 proto drakes? 6 mammoths, another gryphon (horde version also) then in cata we get less reskins only having 2-4 of one type of mount, then mop comes along we return to 2-4 of the same type of mount, and in wod, 4-6 of a kind of mount and people scream (nothing but reskins) even going as far to call stuff like the hearthsteed and cindersteed are "reskins" of invincible and celetalons steed :P


people dont like to think "blizzard are being lazy" even if they really arnt...

Yes, but the reason people complained about boars was mainly rhetorical, because they were spread so thin while all the best Draenor models were store exclusive.

Even when they added a rylak and dread raven later on, it was still one of each. So, it was 12 boars to 1 rylak and 1 raven, and those thrown in grudgingly. 5 rylaks, 3 ravens and 6 boars would have been good, 12 rylaks, 3 ravens, 5 ravagers, 3 fey dragons and 12 boars would have been even better.

On topic, that mount was probably not made available to players because of major clipping. Either that, or they got the name wrong for the Laughing Skull reward and they haven't realized yet (it is called Ironside Wolf after all).

Gotta love how Blizzard (and some players) have turned concerns and complaints about SHITE, BORING mounts being reused over and over whilst the good ones that made more sense in some cases were put on the store into "no one wants recolors"...

The playerbase is fine with recolors, as long as the mounts available from in-game efforts aren't uninspired whilst the cool mounts are put onto the store. And the Iron Horde wolf, is not a simple recolor.

The people that complain no matter what, shouldn't dictate what sort of mounts we get. People ask for more unique mounts, but that doesn't equal that they want to see an end to recolors of awesome mounts that are available from different sources...

Subjective. The most incredible mount from this expansion in my book, is the Infinite Timereaver or the Voidtalon. People in general are fine with reskins when they are inspired and not used in place of much cooler, unique mounts. Pretty simple, really...

No one cared about recolors prior to WoD because they had been handled well up to that point.

The big issues being
1: With exception to the Gronnlings,all the WoD recolor were nigh-indistinguishable from one another. You couldn't tell the difference between the black boar, the brownish-black boar, and the blackish-brown boar.
2: Previously, most if not all of the recolors of a mount were contained within one, lore-appropriate faction like the Cloud Serpents or Nether Drakes. Here, you've got Laughing Skull giving you a lazy wolf recolor when it's been established that they use Reavers for transportation, and you have Arakkoa giving you an animal that doesn't even exist in their region instead of the birds they all use.

3 or 4 mounts on the store could get between 3 and 12 recolors each in game if they use all skins and armored/unarmored versions. They're detailed, flagship mounts people would want to use, so they'd support recolors a lot better (nobody complained about all the cloud serpents). Sometimes it's a shame those recolors aren't in game, such as yellow laughing skull ravager, white frostwolf rylak, Rukhmar raven, blue forsaken bat, etc. They'd be welcome.

And the problem isn't that they sell mounts, it's when they use those same models too much in game. Then it takes away from the game, because every time you see them flying around, and want to get them, you know the only way to do that is to buy them, and it takes you right out of the game.
