you know that myth has been debunked?

woman make as much as men do for the same work, problem is woman tend to request more time off and work less hours, and very little overtime if at all. Also men tend to be more asertive which they explain that might be the cause of the 3% gap, but it is also within the range of error so who really knows.

also men take more dangerous/stressful jobs to. *which is why they have a higher death and suicide rate*

and the way the numbers are taken scew this to 70 cents to the dollar because they assume everyone is working the same hours and the same job.

By the original, honest definition, "the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes", yes. A lot of people seem to believe the word "feminist" means "women are superior to men" which is as disingenuous as claiming "literal" and "figurative" are the same, just because people kept butchering "literal".

If you want to have a legit discussion then you shouldn't open with a factoid that's been debunked so hard it's like re-beating an undead horse.

#1 Feminism has become something horrible. That's why they created SJW's, which is also horrible.
#2 Women are treated fairly. Just not online when 14 year old boys are around.
#3 Women have equal chance for job opportunity and make equal pay. Because if they didn't, then companies would hire them left and right. Companies corporate greed has no gender boundaries, let alone country boundaries.

Not agreeing with feminism doesn't mean you hate women.

See, this is why we'll never accept you within the ranks of the Secret Society of the Patriarchy. You're not supposed to say those things out loud.

Everyone should be a humanist, though; people who believe everyone should be treated equally despite gender, color, sexuality, or other irrelevant things. That's what most feminists claim to be, but really aren't. It gets worse and worse every day, in fact. They don't demand equality, they demand superiority.
Saying you're a humanist instead of a feminist is the same as saying "all lives matter." It's a refusal to accept that some groups have more problems than others, a refusal to focus on those groups but instead just nebulously saying "everyone should be equal."

Everyone should be a feminist but the word has accrued a stigma in certain circles. But at the end of the day it is about equality - something any sane person should support.

This doesn't get rid of the problem though. If anything it makes the pay gap a larger more complex issue. It's about women and men being socialised to follow different career paths, to prioritise different things, it's about subconscious biases which make men more likely to be promoted for traits while the same traits are viewed negatively in women. It's about women being socialised to be less confrontational so they don't negotiate higher pay. etc. etc. Plus there is actually a direct pay gap, it's just slightly smaller. IIRC it's something like 95 cents to the dollar.

The problem is whenever the wage gap is brought up its done so with no context and makes it seem like employers are sitting there saying "Well this employee is a woman so lets pay her 63 cents (or w/e the gap is) on the dollar!"

Not when the methods to implement that kind of "equality" is through creating inequality that intentionally inhibits the progress of others.

We should not want to be feminists, we should not want to be anything but egalitarians. We should want equality for all races and genders, which is not something feminists actively work for, despite a few public faces stating that they want equality for all. Feminists speak by their actions, and their actions are often: More benefits for certain women, less benefits for everyone else.
I don't like feminists, especially the lay-feminists, because they don't understand the movement, what it once was or where it is going. If you want equality for all, you are an egalitarian, not a feminists, and you should dislike feminists as such, since they are based off principles and actively seek inequality between genders.
What are you willing to sacrifice?

Equality is good, for all genders, races, etc, everyone should have equal rights and opportunities

Feminism is not: it is a paranoid hate movement based on a conspiracy theory that men throughout history have done nothing but hurt/rape/enslave female victims ("patriarchy, rape culture"), so hatred of men for their inherent evil nature ("toxic masculinity") is justified

This is not a gender-related thread at all.

On topic: If you want Female Supremacy, sure, go on ahead and be a Feminist.

If a woman can become president (which will happen by the end of the year), what job is out of a woman's reach?
