Twitch user gets banned over Flashing

So this is all over facebook now.

Some girl named Lea Mays or something. Feel free to google the half second of her vagina on display or whatever. The latest in viral gaming news.

But I'm kind of just here like, "So what, who gives a fuck? It's just a vagina."

This isn't about a vagina. This is about enforcing a policy and setting a standard for the twitch community. I don't really know how many people read MMO-Champion, but when I speak on a topic as off it's rails as this one, I like to send a powerful message that is unbiased in it's nature with an opinion that I think resonates in others as well.

I don't care if a girl shows some cleavage on twitch and that's why she has like 200 followers. I don't care about these losers living in their mom's basement going the complete wrong way about being sweet on a girl and trying to get noticed. They don't matter. They are idiots and they always will be until they get slapped in the face with the truth of life.

But I've said what I've said because I think a gaming channel should be about gaming. Women cannot change the fact that they are beautiful and draw fans and donations purely off of that quality alone - but is being in your UNDERWEAR on what is practically LIVE TELEVISION something that you should be okay with?

Like, I'd understand if you are a camgirl or whatever. That gets money. And if you're into that, that's cool I guess. But twitch is about gaming.

If you ask me, I don't really care. Sometimes people are in their underwear. Sometimes you see a boob or a penis no one wanted you to see. It happens. It's not a big deal. But if people have an opposing view towards twitch, I really think people should respect them and the kind of community that it hopes to build by policing it's users.

I really don't understand your point?
I read your post twice now. At first you say "who gives a fuck," then you seem against it by saying "twitch is about gaming." then say "you see a boob... it happens. its not a big deal."

Either way, she was banned because Twitch has a very serious policy over nudity, even accidental.
People care because she was popular.
That's all there is really to discuss.

According to one stream I slipped in for a few seconds, the Twitch community is awful. Just a whole bunch of people trying to get streamers banned.

They pretty much go "Oh hey! Listen to this awesome song I found!" *Streamer listens while live* *Copyright reports go flying*

If streamers don't have a "mature" warning for their sites (to warn that language and or hand/body signs are inappropriate for minors) then they have a responsibility to stay to those rules.

My personal opinion is that there's enough sexuality and sensationalist towards women on the internet with "cosplaying", porn, "modeling" and all the other shady content out there- Gaming doesn't, no shouldn't become another one. Facecams should be recording your face, not 2/3rds of your torso and your half covered ass if you decide to stand up and do something.

IIRC this particular streamer used to do Yoga for donations in the past, people were donating to see her bend over on camera... There are numerous other examples of these "camgirls" who don't do any of this for the love of video games but rather attention and money!

You can always check the vid if you want. It's accidental if you ask me + like I said earlier you will be disappointed. TBH I think its a small deal its just Twitch just being absolute on following their rules about nudity.

This topic was already moved to Video Game Discussions, where it was promptly closed for almost immediate massive derailment. So I'm going to just cut it off here and close it now to save them the trouble.

    Closed.
