The Synarchy, the proto-conspiracy theory...but a question before hand

The aim of this post is to show posters how a purely French ''they control everything and rule the world in secret'' was born while being utterly bonkers and actually used with widely different explanations . Would this be against the rules of the board toward conspiracy theories ?

Would a discussion about a conspiracy theory go against the rule that says "no discussion of conspiracy theories"?

    Well gee, dunno

So point taken. (I hope it won't count as a an infraction, I was asking beforehand)

The issue is that this is a very old one, and a one that is demonstrably false, the bulk of the argumentation being ''how it spread'' and ''why people believed it''

Asking is fine. You could probably PM one or more of us if you want to ask in the future.

But yeah, as for this one, even discussing how a conspiracy theory is demonstrably false is a recipe for a back and forth, pointless argument between two sides about something where one side doesn't care about proof. They go nowhere, so they aren't allowed.

    Anyway, question answered, locking this.
