    Snowden [Movie Trailer]

    Apparently a movie starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Edward Snowden is set to release in September. Fully acknowledging the fact that there will be elements in the movie that would make for a more compelling story, I actually think it looks pretty good and I'd watch it. Levitt looks to be a great pick for this movie and he nailed the voice. What do you think?

    Looks like it will be a fun movie, looks a little over-dramatized though. Nic Cage!

    I feel like this is a story they really DON'T need to dramatize, and that dramatization of it very much takes away from the lesson to be learned. But they're going to do it anyway, because fuck the message.

    You can't make a successful movie without dramatizing it; not short-term successful, at least. That is one reason I personally have never been a fan of fiction movies about real people: they always twist the story and the characters in order to be more appealing to the consumers.
