how do i empty my stored messages.

it says i have 817 or so stored messages. (no they aren't all infractions.) i keep clicking on empty folder but the yellow bar remains and it still says i have 817 stored messages. what am i doing wrong? i am worried because i am getting close to the limit.
also does any mod know where you got scrapbot's avatar from? cause it looks like i seen him outside of mmoc before. like from invader zim or something similar. also i may or may not be a little tipsy. the first two questions are serious though. crap forgot to make the period a question mark at the end of thread title. to clarify this is from my inbox.

Did you check the tickboxes on the side of the messages to make sure there are things actually selected?

and yeah the only ones i have active are the 9 ones currently in my inbox the rest are in storage. i clicked the boxes for the others deleted them but they remain in my stored messages apparently. there is like a big yellow bar. 839 messages.

Did you check your sent messages folder? Those are counted right along with what you have in your inbox.
