I don't think the Forsaken should be traded with Ogres. I believe the Forsaken give the Horde an interesting dynamic, which makes the Horde even more interesting. Also, any diehard lore fan would want playable Ogres, myself included. But, I wouldn't trade the Forsaken for them.

I do agree that the Forsaken bring a different element to the Horde atmosphere and I don't see why it shouldn't be valued as that.
As a hardcore Worgen myself I can relate with devoting yourself to a single race which improves one's immersion into the game, so we can settle the discussion at that or go into Legion balancing.

YES!, Ogres are Horde.

Forsaken and Blood Elfs are races that are part of the faction but if this was not a two faction MMO they would never been part of us.

It's an interesting idea in terms of removing a race from the game (by replacing it with another), but it's deeply flawed. The only thing it would satisfy is a tiny faction of lore fans, but would piss off a huge number of players (including other lore fans). The ramifications would likely be severe and there's almost no gain from it at all, on top of the huge amount of work it would take to achieve and the wasted Forsaken resources.

People love the Forsaken. It's a character chosen to represent their in-game persona.

Then, introducing Ogres would be fun. Just for the change. Change is cool.

I would say no, because the chosen method of Ogre's introduction is sub-optimal.

if they replace my baby-boy-forsaken with an ogre i'm going to be pissed. forsaken is one of the more popular horde-races, too.

if they become so evil in the storyline that they can't be part of the horde anymore, its still not necessary for them to leave the horde as a whole. they can just make a split in the population like they did with the orcs - some who followed garry, some who stayed true to the horde.

also, ogres are not going to be popular, lets face it. hell, i might roll one for funsies, others for nostalgic reasons, but the majority won't because they are butt-ugly.
