Why does this forum lean to the left?

Ignore all the crying about being the victim of moderation -- it seems the conservative posters here have a harder time keeping their rhetoric within the rules than not -- and lots of left leaning posters get infracted as well. Just a bit of confirmation bias at play.

We've had plenty of mods on different sides of the spectrum (although it shouldn't affect moderating much in general). Dacien I seem to recall being pretty big on the conservative side, wasn't he?

Almost all of the mods are liberals and some (mostly one) will infract if you don't share his ideas.

As you earn above the average wage people are more likely to vote conservative, it's common sense.

I earn way the hell above the average wage and I vote democratic, generally speaking. Mostly due to social reasons, and because I like science and dislike theocracy.

People who benefit from government handouts are typically left leaning. Most people not getting government handouts are at work, and don't have access to these forums.

For future note, political bashing, flaming, and on a lesser note, discussing moderation, isn't allowed on these forums.

For the moderation part, if you have an issue with a moderator, bring it up to a Global, not in threads please.
