im pretty sure the EU wow servers being shit today is justg a blizzard ploy to get more people to play overwatch.
and its working, damn you blizzard
I played a couple of games before quitting for the day. It is as fun as when I played it back in closed Beta, but I have too much university work that I need to work on before I dedicate a lot of time into the game.
The launch has been pretty good from what I have seen, although I noticed a bug where the game would not launch, and everyone was stuck in Skirmish mode because there was always one spot left open that was never filled. It was fixed by just leaving the game and queue again, but it may be something Blizzard needs to fix. There was also an issue where I was randomly thrown out of the game by being disconnected without notice. This happened back in closed Beta as well, so that irked me a bit, especially since I was in a group with a guy I know.

I'm having this problem where I just random lose connection to a match. Actually has annoyed me to the point where I've just closed the game for a couple hours now. It doesn't happen frequently, but just always at those moments you are doing so well then yell, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
I'm only level 6, but quality play is hard. I'm having some ugly rubberbanding issues (which I saw in the last beta), but I'm also getting some huge FPS drops (which I didn't have in the last beta).Still, having some fun, even if I start to sputter about aimbots every time Widowmaker tags me.
I find if I use voice coms to say, "The team that fights on the objective is the team that wins." Tends to help with those who want to play way back.
I always call out where snipers and turrets are and they are usually gone before I get back.
I have a nasty habit of always using the same guys on maps and I really need to increase the pool of characters I am competent with.
I have left some games though, mostly ones where my team lets a widow maker stand in one spot for 7 mins straight and never do anything about her or one where a turret was up high in the open and no one even tries to get rid of it. That's a level of stupid I won't play with.
Been bouncing around my usual favorite characters for each mode & attack/defense. Obviously having more fun when at least 1 friend is on my team, but it will get a million times better when I can build a team of friends soon.
Still love the game like I did in Beta, but the pug matches almost felt worse on Day 1 than they did in Open Beta.......playing the Capture Point mode, it's constantly me and maybe one other guy trying desperately to take the point, while the rest of our team is wandering the map or lingering around the perimeter doing absolutely nothing to capture the objective.
Same thing with the Payload maps, a few of us are trying desperately to either push forward or push back the payload, while the other morons are clear across the map hunting down people.....It's like people assume you just touch the payload and it'll automatically keep going. Feel like they don't realize you need to ESCORT THE DAMN THING.
but hey, it's Day 1, now Day 2 of release. So there's plenty of noobs n lonewolves being dumb. Time will weed them out or they'll improve their knowledge/skill
Currently at level 7, would have gotten higher but I skipped lunch and barely slept the day before n playing Overwatch with a headache makes for a much worse headache lol

YES, that bs was happening constantly to me. I even have the option set to NO SKIRMISH WHILE SEARCHING, yet it still throws me into endless skirmishes. Guarantee it's a bug, and I'm confident it'll be fixed. For now, I do the same. Quit game and start new search

What the fuck is it with overtime. We hold the entire match a point and then overtime comes and enemy team always gets it. Then they hold it all the way until the end and win.

*sigh*
Level 10. Game is still fun, but starting to feel signs of repetitiveness. I was hoping that it would hold me over until Legion, but right now I don't see that happening unless they come out with different objective maps to do (reeeaaaaaaaaaally want a CTF, PLEASE BLIZZ!)
I see myself playing this game for about 3-4 hours a day until level 25 or 30 or so and then dying off slowly to the point where I play maybe an hour or 2 a week. Maybe trying different heroes that I normally don't play just to keep my interest a bit longer.
Still happy I bought it, but it definitely doesn't have the replayability that TF2 has.

When you hit level 25 ( and when released ), there will be ranked. This might kick things up a notch.
Specially because you don't just play anymore, specially not just play "what you want".
Now tactics, strategies, combinations, setup, teamwork and alot more comes highly into play.
All together with the fact that you want the win, and not just the kills, so you fight harder for it, a win will give more "pleasure", while a loss will feel sad.
Ranked play oftens does alot for me atleast.

CTF wouldn't work because it would force everyone to pick heroes with high mobility. For example Widowmaker has a grappling hook very similar to the one in the original Quake CTF. She would be used so much to just move the flag around the map rapidly which is what you need in CTF. They'd have to limit the heroes somewhat to make it work. Perhaps ground them all maybe. That might be interesting. The other potential issue is the maps seem to have a lot of routes from A to B which could make it frustrating unless the flag carrier was marked somehow on the UI.. perhaps like the widowmaker x-ray vision.
In answer to the question:
Having a lot of fun. Playing mostly Widowmaker. I like that it's a tricky class due to the aiming etc but I feel like I'm getting better. Some great moments such as mid air snipes and a couple of kills right as the door opens at the very start of the map. Never stand still when the doors open. Widowmaker reminds me of the pleasure the Quake 2 Railgun gave me when you fire off a snipe without thinking about it and one shot the other person. Boom.

They can easily get by this by limiting heroe's abilities or by designing maps with limited or no hookable or wallclimbing places. Maybe add a bottleneck areas that make it harder for Tracers/Genjis to get through if they are properly reinforced. If TF2 can do it with multiple maps and classes that can run super fast, have triple jumps, have charges, etc, then Overwatch can do it.
Just need the right map design for it and right limitations for those carrying the flag (ie if you are carrying flag, the flag is heavy making it so you can't use any quick movement abilities. Or the "flag" is an item that limits your abilities, like a powercell or something that saps your strength. They can make lore out of it to cover up the fact that the item will limit your hero's abilities).

I'm level 5. Still figuring things out. Like for example I know to run and hide when I hear 'its high noon' or 'I got you in my sights'. Its alot of fun though! I've fallen off the map more times than I'd like to admit haha.
I'm having fun.
I do want to stab Lucio though.
