I got to level 11 last night, had a blast playing with friends. We won some, we lost some, owned and got owned. Through five disconnects I played an hour as Mercy and a little bit of time as Junkrat.

One of my friends is doing this too and then goes on about how this or that ability needs to be like some League of Legends ability. UGH! :P

I wonder if some kind of in-game tutorial would have helped in that regard. I remember somebody suggesting that in another thread, and getting crapped upon for daring to voice his opinion.

Sometimes it's nice to be so far ahead.
Wouldn't matter. On-line shooters always have a fair percentage of players that don't care about objectives or teamwork. It's always seemed to me to be more apathy than ignorance. This often becomes common at higher ranks as well when folks start to get bored with the game and decide to just fuck around trying to find some fun before eventually quitting.

I think teams like mine only help this apathy too. When I'm in a group with 4-5 friends I usually tend to ignore the non-friend player(s). Not like I block them, but I don't even try to communicate with them (unless they reach out to us first). Most of the randoms tend to be good enough to carry their own weight so it hasn't been a big deal but we're trying to curb our bad habits and include our randoms.

I suspect that it's also why the pipe dream of "individual performance based ranks" is thrown around so much in shooters/MOBAs/etc.

They run around getting top kills or something while ignoring objectives every game, and that leads them to thinking that they're awesome but they're losing because of bad teams/Elo hell/whatever. So they start talking about how awesome it would be if ranking was based on "individual skill" or something rather than actual wins/losses.

LEvel 15, killing more than getting killed, winning more than losing. I am happy :3. Absolutely slaughtering people as Symmetra.

Have had a tonne of fun. I try to be polite in chat telling people to push, group up etc. I select heros based on composition and enemy composition and have found that helps a lot. I especially love playing mercy with a group that sticks together. Her pistol is surprisingly effective too. It's easy to switch to pistol, assist in killing then switch back to staff to heal and dmg boost.

People have been getting hammered when I play Tjorborn, seems a lot of people don't really target sentry's for some reason.
I may not agree with what you say but I will fight to the death to defend your right to say it.

Level 5 and for now almost only bad games, which is to be expected when playing with randoms. Nobody doing objectives at all, atleast 1 people in every game afk in base just typing or something.

I had some funny RNG in my loot boxes. Only had 6 so far, and already got one legendary skin and a duplicate of a spray. What are even the chances of getting a duplicate already? Sheesh.

Doing great! Got to level 10 and had a 32 player kill streak with D.Va.

Ugh loot boxes. All night my friends were getting legendaries and epics. All I get are sprays and voice lines.

I got killed as Mercy by a D.Va who had (at the time) a 30-player kill streak. I wonder if that was you? I disliked that D.Va cause they were good and kept killing me. I think it was on the Nepal map.

Out of my 11 loot crates so far, I've gotten several duplicates.

I know that feeling. 9 loot boxes, no skins. Not even the regular recolor ones. Almost all sprays.
One of these days, I should probably figure out a decent signature.

I played a couple of games before quitting for the day. It is as fun as when I played it back in closed Beta, but I have too much university work that I need to work on before I dedicate a lot of time into the game.

The launch has been pretty good from what I have seen, although I noticed a bug where the game would not launch, and everyone was stuck in Skirmish mode because there was always one spot left open that was never filled. It was fixed by just leaving the game and queue again, but it may be something Blizzard needs to fix. There was also an issue where I was randomly thrown out of the game by being disconnected without notice. This happened back in closed Beta as well, so that irked me a bit, especially since I was in a group with a guy I know.

I'm having this problem where I just random lose connection to a match. Actually has annoyed me to the point where I've just closed the game for a couple hours now. It doesn't happen frequently, but just always at those moments you are doing so well then yell, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

I'm only level 6, but quality play is hard. I'm having some ugly rubberbanding issues (which I saw in the last beta), but I'm also getting some huge FPS drops (which I didn't have in the last beta).Still, having some fun, even if I start to sputter about aimbots every time Widowmaker tags me.

I find if I use voice coms to say, "The team that fights on the objective is the team that wins." Tends to help with those who want to play way back.
I always call out where snipers and turrets are and they are usually gone before I get back.

I have a nasty habit of always using the same guys on maps and I really need to increase the pool of characters I am competent with.

I have left some games though, mostly ones where my team lets a widow maker stand in one spot for 7 mins straight and never do anything about her or one where a turret was up high in the open and no one even tries to get rid of it. That's a level of stupid I won't play with.

Been bouncing around my usual favorite characters for each mode & attack/defense. Obviously having more fun when at least 1 friend is on my team, but it will get a million times better when I can build a team of friends soon.

Still love the game like I did in Beta, but the pug matches almost felt worse on Day 1 than they did in Open Beta.......playing the Capture Point mode, it's constantly me and maybe one other guy trying desperately to take the point, while the rest of our team is wandering the map or lingering around the perimeter doing absolutely nothing to capture the objective.

Same thing with the Payload maps, a few of us are trying desperately to either push forward or push back the payload, while the other morons are clear across the map hunting down people.....It's like people assume you just touch the payload and it'll automatically keep going. Feel like they don't realize you need to ESCORT THE DAMN THING.

but hey, it's Day 1, now Day 2 of release. So there's plenty of noobs n lonewolves being dumb. Time will weed them out or they'll improve their knowledge/skill

Currently at level 7, would have gotten higher but I skipped lunch and barely slept the day before n playing Overwatch with a headache makes for a much worse headache lol

YES, that bs was happening constantly to me. I even have the option set to NO SKIRMISH WHILE SEARCHING, yet it still throws me into endless skirmishes. Guarantee it's a bug, and I'm confident it'll be fixed. For now, I do the same. Quit game and start new search

    /rage

What the fuck is it with overtime. We hold the entire match a point and then overtime comes and enemy team always gets it. Then they hold it all the way until the end and win.

    /endrage

    *sigh*
