    I think Sombra might be overtaking DVa as my second favourite hero. She's hard work and you need your team to be at least half paying attention, but she's so rewarding when you pull off a Hack or EMP that lets your team just press through the opposition. Just had probably my best game with her, 20 Enemies EMPed and so many Hacks, finished the game with a winning EMP too.

    I find myself repeatedly telling my teams "Target priority is Mercy, kill mercy first." and then half the time they listen to me and the other half of the time they take it personally and start calling me names.

    I like how Your Overwatch put it, the difference between pros and non-pros isn't so much skill but rather they can seperate their feelings from the game and if someone says, "Hey Genji, there are 3 guys on the opposing team that you can't deflect and that mei killed you 4 times in a row with ease, switch to something else." and a pro-Genji won't get pissy but rather just changes to suit the needs of the team.

    If you push a button that finds you a 'random group' and it gives you a random group of people with random skill and random knowledge then you have no right to complain that a 'random group' button did what it was designed to do.     The current meta is to run 2 tanks and 2 healers, generally. We're way below where we need to be to provide proper diversity of loadout. We need 2-3 tanks AND heals before anything else unless they can get the meta back to 1 healer/1 tank/4 dps.

    That's the "meta" i prefer, but alas, it'll never happen we're stuck with this silly 2/2/2 stuff, but at least its not 3/2/1 as much....

    I'd prefer it too, but I just don't see how to get there. It pushes for two healers because, with one healer, if that healer gets taken out, your defense/push usually crumbles through attrition alone. And with two people providing healing, the survivability of two tanks is hard to pass up. They'd either need to nerf healing or healer offense enough that two healers is too much lost DPS and still not enough healing to make up for that, while still making ONE healer worthwhile, or some other massive shift to the game, which would likely do more damage than the current meta. So it may be best to just adapt to it, and add more tanks/heals to fix the diversity issues and work on diversifying, not adding, to the offense/defense heroes, if anything. Tune their balance so they're all more readily useable.

    Easy fix: limit the roles to only 1 per team. Granted, I'm not saying it's a good fix, just easy. I miss the 1/4/1, but 2/2/2 isn't horrible. Some teams actually work well enough with each other they can go 1/3/2 or even 1/4/1 still, it's just rare to see. When you do see it, a lot of times it's hilarious how much they eat the other team alive because they're not sure how to counter it anymore.

    Not too upset by it. Eventually things equal out, and sometimes changes happen that benefit the game. Yeah, we might have another shield tank, but if it becomes a thing you can possibly start seeing characters become prominent again. Just a cycle of balances and what works best for the comps at the time.
    Only real way to combat this is eventually "retiring" certain heroes from Comp. This is obviously not something everyone would like as their favorite(s) are no longer playable, but would definitely keep variety alive in the game.

    I'm seeing gifs of people who avoid Roadhog's hook by throwing a venom mine or Junkrat's mine out at the right time and have the hook catch and pull that to Roadhog instead. Wondering how hard that actually is to pull off and if it could be used reliably to avoid the hook.

    So after ranting earlier on about my win / performance rate in placements, and getting dicked on because last season screwed me over (rinse and repeat cycle from S1 when I sucked donkey dick)

    I've started to move up, (for the record, 7 wins, 3 loss's 1350 rating, mostly golds and silvers with Zen. On the scoreboard constantly for defensive assists). I went from 1350 to 1505 quite quickly, which breaches into silver.

    This mornings game, my team comp for the entire game on kings row was

    Me on Zen - Dva - Rein - WM - Genji - Reaper

    Don't want to blow my own horn but I had the 5 golds, and I carried that shit hard. The team were giving Genji shit for being on defense and not changing to heals regardless he was playing alright until the third point,

    But every game, someone has to argue before the doors even open which 9/10 causes a loss

    Alas, back down to 1460 from the loss, this is what keeps happening every season for me
    @zito yea tell me about that, with people never targetting the mercy, I have my discord orb on her when ever she shows up, but they still insist on hitting the rein who drops his shield to let her get a charge

    A lot of players telegraph when they're going to hook by trying to line up their shot instead of shooting at you. However, it's much easier to avoid getting hooked by working on your positioning and playing smart than to rely on fancy stuff like this.

    I'm so tired of premades in comp where it's obvious that one of them is getting carried hard. They are usually 3 people and one of them belong in a much lower ranking.
