    GTX 1080 Build

The time has come for my bi-decadal (is this a word?) upgrade - which basically means buying a new PC from scratch. Most of my shit is about five or six years old and the latest titles are really starting to make it creak. Figured that now is as good a time as ever to future-proof for the next couple of years, now that Pascal is here.

    So here we go:-

Budget: £500 - £1000 (have already bought a GTX 1080) - am willing to extend by £100 or so if necessary.

    Resolution: 1920 x 1080 Single Monitor

    No Peripherals Needed.

Aiming to play pretty much anything that releases over the next couple of years on decent settings (right now would settle for DOOM on very high / ultra). Future-proofing is key.

Well for starters a GTX 1080 is overkill for a 1080p monitor, so I dropped a 1440p monitor in this set up. There's no reason to have optical drive anymore, but if you need one go with a external drive. Windows can be install via a usb stick.
