This Chart Shows Which Profession Marries Which!

    http://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/20...-marries-whom/

When it comes to falling in love, it’s not just fate that brings people together—sometimes it’s their jobs. We scanned data from the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2014 American Community Survey—which covers 3.5 million households—to find out how people are pairing up. Some of the matches seemed practical (the most common marriage is between grade-school teachers), and others had us questioning Cupid’s aim (why do female dancers have a thing for male welders?). High-earning women (doctors, lawyers) tend to pair up with their economic equals, while middle- and lower-tier women often marry up. In other words, female CEOs tend to marry other CEOs; male CEOs are OK marrying their secretaries.

click the link! Based on my dating history, its fairly accurate.

haha mine comes up with "eleentary school teachers"

makes sense, my GF is a primary school teacher

though i would guess most male dominated jobs will match with female dominated jobs

Looks like elementary and middle school teachers are hot property.

Interesting. Apparently my profession overwhelmingly marries within the profession. No one else is good enough for us.

This chart is bullshit. I typed in Ninjas and it's not even a category. Though perhaps that is because a census taker has never been able to track down ninjas and live to tell the tale.

I think for a guy to be shorter than me, he'd need to be a dwarf.

I'll take all the manlets between 5'2 and 5'7 plz and thanks!

but seriously, all but 1 guy I dated were pretty much blue collar or students from poor families. I think my family is starting to want to smack the back of my head in date choices.

lol So I noticed something interesting. I am a writer, so I was looking at what my female companionships should be, when I just happen to look at the Male-Male line. It seems if gay, male writers predominantly bang editors, probably their own. Weird how that works.

EDIT: Ok, this is kind of weird. Gay males tend to always marry someone in a field highly related to their own. Writers marry editors. Bus drivers marry parts salesmen. Shipping clerks marry stock clerks. Couriers marry dispatchers lol And the list goes on.

I had the funny circumstance of my wife and I both being in the military while she was an officer and I enlisted. When asked if it bothered me that my wife outranked me, I just quoted Jack Nicholson from a A Few Good Men.

As a welder, I'm very likely to marry a secretary/admin assist. Funny enough we have a few hot ones in the office. :P
