Does anyone know if there's still premade groups around farming for this and how to join? Alliance or Horde (preferably Alliance)

Attended it once and will do it again.
Just in avarage:
1 AV = about 40 min = 500-600 HKs = about 600HKs/hour (cause of margin of queue time)

I manage to find them sometimes in premade group finder, but they have stopped recently.

Stopped? Nah...
The leader is hosting this in weekly basics. The group mostly consist of premade ppl (BTag friends, guildmates, recently additionally OpenRaid) and the leader pick up free spots from in game finder when spots are open. This only happen in time window between battlegrounds so it's high possibility that recently you have been checking while the group was during slaugher in BG.
