Will Facebook/Blizzard share ad revenue or have donations? Otherwise this is just a terrible version of YouTube gaming. It takes a ton of work for a good quality stream of content. If revenue is not shared then all this is going to be is bad stream after bad stream, showing Facebook all the worst parts of gaming in low quality streams.

Not really... only the unaware or ignorant people still use Facebook. And yes, even if it's 1 billion people. Majority of people in the world are below average in terms of awareness and IT things in general. So you are either unaware about all that, or just plain ignorant. No matter what, more and more people start to understand that they are the product and not Facebook.

I'd like to disagree on "better place" remark. Everything else I agree with.
If it wasn't for social media -- I'd still have 4 different instant messaging programs. I'd rarely talk to the friends I had 15 years ago. It has its place.

You could (probably easily) argue that those friends are relatively unimportant -- but it's nice to chit chat with them from time to time.

It's also a handy SSO but I don't think it should be required. SSO is nice -- but everyone should have their own sign on management as well, if nothing else as a backup.

I would agree that those who *live* through Facebook have a problem and I will, at the least, concede that we'd be better if we pulled away from Facebook a bit.

It's not so much social media that's the problem, it's specifically Facebook and their business practices that make them about as beneficial to society as cancer. Social media as a concept is great and does have a place, but Facebook is a terrible company, with unethical business practices.

As an optional SSO, I agree it's nice for those who like that sort of thing, but to me battle.net is already my SSO. Hell I never even have to actually log in anymore unless I format my pc. If they wanted to do something beneficial as an SSO, integrate with steam. Steam has built in streaming too. If they are serious about streaming, twitch would have been the right choice for the community. Facebook was the choice they made purely for the profit. And if you stream with Facebook, congratulations, you're officially working for Facebook for free.

Facebook with any integration to wow, oh hell no, already avoiding facebook everywhere, I dont agree with their privacy invasion, this will actually be a deal breaker for playing wow for me, even if it's optional, since its impossible to say what kind of tracking i will then be subjected for even if not using it.

(And yes i have actually walked away from several companies that insist on facebook integration for various things, websites i can block their tracking shit, but games/applications makes it harder.).

A already feel it when pissing: Legion will be my last xpac.. gonna invest that 50 bucks for a last time.. stay subbed for a few months. Level up 110. do all Dungeons 30 times, have full 15-20 evenings of raiding, get into PVP a bit more if it doesnt suck to much after the pruning, get the flying achievement, explore the world.. unsub and uninstall.

That seems like an awful lot of game play before your "planned" unsub.
