    Mythic Mannoroth Wrath

    Hi guys,

Hoping someone has run into this issue before and can help. We are progressing through phase 2 of Mannoroth and trying to set designated spots for our Wrath of Gul'dan players. However, there seems to be an issue with DBM where it sets different markers than we thought it should be using. For example, our understanding was that healers would always get green, and melee would always get Skull and Star.

We changed the dbm settings several times and we still never got those actual markers.

Is there perhaps a weakaura that does this better? Or is there some other setting in dbm that we need to set? Hope someone has experienced this before and can help.

    Thanks in advance!

Had this problem plenty of times on other bosses in HFC. We found 2 solutions.

1: Demote everyone so you have no assistants in the raid group.
2: Use BigWigs to mark instead.

Edit: DBM was flipping raid markers on people the instant they got the mark. May be different to your problem but worth a shot

Just send people to the markers they get assigned to.

Alternatively have melee always go to the closest 2, ranged to the furthest 2 and the healer next to the tank.

Either works but with the second method you'll have Joe that was on social media fuck it up 30 pulls in and restart the debate on where to go.

Melee to the close 2 and ranged to the back!

Huh? DBM never had those marks lately and it has no options to change them unless you hack the code. It always gives skull to healer, square and x to melee and moon and green to ranged.

As a bonus you can give purple, circle, star to doom positions but that might be unneeded if you drop them with volley.

You can have all 4 of the markers within melee range of the bosses hitbox, and allow enough room for the raid near the front of the boss, guess it depends how and where you're positioning Mannoroth himself, but its what we do as we ran into the exact same problem, easily solved this way.

The solution to your problem is quite easy; just set up the 4 colors as points they can run to.

Make them call out (in TS/vent/mumble/...) the spot they are taking. (while keeping the rule, that melee always takes the front 2 spots, while ranged goes to back-spots).
It is nice to have DBM to tell you stuff; but don't go overrelying on it.

I prefer the alternate method. It allows for alot less un-needed decision making. Basically just run to your marks and profit

We have 4 markers on the ground, the front 2 for melee and the back 2 for ranged, and people just sort it out on the fly(usually by having at least 1 of each call out which one they take). We completely ignore the player marks. Healer always goes to the tank.
Didn't trust the player marks because sometimes they wouldn't go out/would use different colors/whatever other issues, so we just went with the most consistent option.
