Did anyone else go to the first showing, then walk out baffled? Ugh, the acting was bad, the pacing was awful, the dialogue was practically incoherent. And the whole Garona - Lothar love interest story subplot thing was so awful and shoehorned.

That's why opinions are different for everyone. I personally think they cut a bit too much and that's why the pacing was sometimes off, but it was an "okay-ish" introduction to the franchise and visually (personal opinon again) a good movie.
