    Gaming and Video Editing Build.

    Budget - ~$1500 AUD

    Resolution - 1920x1080

Games / Settings Desired - WoW, OW, CS, AAA titles. High-Ultra (fps games are on low settings).

Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc) - Will be recording and editing videos in the future.

    Country - Australia

Parts that can be reused - SSD and GPU (970).

Do you need an OS? - No.

Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)? - No.

The build below is what I currently have in mind, but would like second opinions as several parts are probably overkill. I would just like to know if they're worth their value.

Looks solid alot like my build. 6700k is wise if you are video editing alot. I use a h100i instead of the h115i don't know the difference off the top of my head but it looks legit. Outside of that everything looks good. Ill check the reviews on the h115i bit later.

How is that motherboard so expensive? You could also check the new Broadwell-e processors. The prices on those start at about 430$ (US) on the i7-6800K (6/12 cores)

For the same money you can make a X99 build if you wanted, just showing it as another option:

Dunno what gpu you got since you didn't mentioned it but the psu wattage is probably enough.

I would get a different motherboard that mobo is pricey unless you need the features it provides, look at a asus Z170-a. Unless you're doing some really heavy workloads a 6800k is overkill and it's a 2011 socket not a 1151 socket. the X99 build Kostattoo provided is fine aswell my workload benefits more from the 6700k but it's up to what you need. But you could get a 6800k and use it for Kostattoo's build I believe.

There are quite a few motherboard options, personally I save some money on the motherboard being that I don't need all the fancy features most of them provide. Again, it really ends up being what your needs are.

    h115I looks great btw
