that would be quite the irony.
Look my point is, women get shit for breastfeeding daily. I have no issues against it, but I can see how others can see it as "wrong". It's called an opinion, free country and all that jazz. All I can see in this topic so far is people trying to destroy having an opinion if it doesn't conform to "do whatever you want".
Why not worry about stuff that really matters except someone calling such an act disgusting (which, according to a certain amendment is his good right). It's disgusting to some people, it's not disgusting to others. Hell, I wouldn't like it if I was in a restaurant, something about hygiene and a pleasant eating experience.
Not that I would rush over to that table, but I would assume that the woman inconsiderate as fuck.
Life moves on, want to breastfeed your kid? Go for it, but take your surroundings into consideration. If you have a feeling that it might not be wanted there, find a place where you can. It's not that hard.
And please, don't even try to play the victim blaming card here, there is no victim.
Always amazing how the united states of puritanistan react to breast feeding. Somehow I feel you guys have it backwards, if the person felt uncomfortable doing it in public because they are ashamed, but was forced to, then I could see outrage. Maybe if she took off her whole upper body clothing one could construct a breach of public morality, but just given a nipple to a baby? o_0.
I guess one could just take it as culture and your puritan roots are widely known after all. But somehow I feel that when any for of violence is trumped by a nipple, you should start evaluating your priorities. Heck, some people here outright describe their disgust for the situation. I mean, really?

Beard doesn't seem to fit that well really. A beard is more like a 3rd degree sexual characteristic, like hair styles or nails. Breasts are more akin to, well, breasts or maybe abs from personal experience. Maybe ass, given the anthropological connection here. But none of that comes close imho, tits have been glorified beyond reason, really the male body scarcely has a thing, that is not an actual sexual organ and gets the same amount of attention.

She did take her surroundings into consideration. She lives in a state where public breastfeeding is protected and she was doing so in a establishment that is also breastfeeding friendly. As far as public breastfeeding goes...she was in the right place. The guy who flipped out is the one that should have taken his surroundings into consideration.

It's really not. Just because one is supersexualized and the other is not does not negate the status of either. We've hypersexualized them in the west, but that doesn't regulate them to a new classification because people can't handle it and decide it's pornographic to see a boob in use.
