I like Buffet and think he's a good dude and an example for the rich. However, ever since he was not genuine about the tax thing, I tend to not like him and look into all his claims. So far he has been straight up, but it will take a while for me to trust him at face value.
The tax thing I speak of is when he claimed to pay less than his secretary. It was true "technically", but only because he pays Capitol gains vs income. You can't compare the two and make an argument for how income tax is unfair. As it is now, the more you make the more you pay percentage wise. If you pull in 1 million per year via earned income, you will pay more than someone pulling in 40k, 100k, etc.

I consider myself mostly conservative, and I'd be okay with that.
My issue with socialism is that it has failed to work everywhere else. If governments could stop being greedy, I'd be all for it. If the military remained the same and did not change, I'd be okay with that socialism.
Everyone is assigned a rank regardless of job
You get reviewed based on merit and time in job to be bumped up to th next pay bracket
You still pay taxes
Everyone is treated equally "in theory"
Schooling is free and you get trained in the job you select/ is needed
Everyone has basic weapons training
If you mouth off to an E-6 McDonald's worker, and you are an E-4 office worker, you get smoked like a sausage

Almost forgot. Special jobs get special pay incentives and faster promotion. So there will still be a desire for specialized fields like doctors and stuff.
If you are a jump status Doctor working in the ghetto. You get jump pay and hazardous duty pay
