Of course one collects porn. What a silly question.
After all one has to do what one has to do regardless whether the local internet provider is currently operational or not.

Fun stuff aside: Esp if you hunt for rare imagery, it is often unsure whether you can find it again if you feel like it. Might have been moved / deleted / you forgot the name etc.

Given that images are rather tiny in file size, it comes as no surprise to me that people just save them locally.
