I want to nominate Joel from last of us. He clearly has few limits when it comes to protect Ellie. As shown he's prepared to go as far as it takes no matter the consequence.

Indeed I agree ! Delita was pure as him but unfortunately he got corrupted. He hated the corrupted nobles for what they did to him and his sister and was fighting them his entire life unfortunately time passes and he became as bad as them.

Ramza is Jon Snow and Delita is Little Finger. Okay, he's not quite scummy as Little Finger but his archetype is similar - commoner who rose among the ranks, lost someone close to him and blames the nobility as a whole, plays both sides against each other and doesn't have any moral qualms about marrying for the purpose of advancement, committing murder for the purpose advancement, just generally playing the game of thrones without a single drop of noble blood in his body and doing quite well for himself.

(I'm skeptical Little Finger will end up on the throne though, at least on the TV series).
