Macros shared between specs in Legion

I have a lot of macros and there's limited space for macros, so some of my macros are shared between specs of the same class. These types of macros don't seem to work in Legion PTR. Is there a way to modify the macros to work?

Simple example (obviously, there would be other things going on to make it worth macro'ing X and Y together):

    #showtooltip [spec:1] X; [spec:2] Y
    /use [spec:1] X; [spec:2] Y

Basically Blizz broke the spec macro conditionals in Legion. [spec:1] is now always your currently active spec.

If you haven't already, please remember to report it as a bug. The more people report it, the more likely we are to get it fixed.

It seems like that's what they intended. Also a lot of spells have a spec by spec equal. Testing the Demon Hunter and
    /cast Eye Beam
will do Eye Beam for DPS and Immolation Aura for Tank
    /cast Blade Dance
will do Blade Dance for DPS and Sigil of Flame for Tank.

etc.. Not sure if it's only for DH, though.

It's unlikely they intended for spec:1 to always mean the current spec because if one is always the current spec why have spec:1 to begin with?

If youre talking about macros for different talents within a talent row theres an addon called TalentMacros that makes life pretty easy and it saves macros through specializations. Also... you really should use MacroToolkit and get yourself some more macro slots
Science the shit out of it!

This new [spec:x] bug annoys me the hell up, we need either more character macro slots or the conditional to be fixed cause this is ridiculous.

A decent way around this for several classes is to use the [equipped:] for it. On hunter (surv/bm) I run /use [equippedolearm] Flanking Strike; Cobra Shot .. For tanks, you can run shield (ie; /use [equipped:shield] Consecration; Templar's Verdict )
