But that's the entire point of Fury, hit the highest damaging button that's lit up, as hard/fast as you can, and let the Arms warriors worry about things like pooling rage and playing tactically. One of the best things about Legion IMO is stuff like Inner Rage reducing RNG so it's even less complex

Patchwerk fights are long dead (well apart from every LFR boss), you don't need convoluted rotation mechanics to keep people awake when well designed encounters do that anyway.

You say that, but historically (since Cata at least), Fury has been one of the most involved and complex rotations, due to a consistently higher than average APM and numerous effects to time and juggle. Legion is no different, you can argue whether or not you believe it's difficult, but it has by far the most effects to track/manage/lineup and because of abilities like Furious Slash and Rampage, require you to constantly monitor your place in the rotation.

Arms on the other hand, is the absolute whackamole spec. Again, you might think that it's "tactical" and methodical because it's billed that way, but the mechanical reality is far from it.

That's the design philosophy that straight up ruined warrior gameplay in WoD.

Pretty much, it's bullshit reasoning too. I heard a simple analogy awhile back regarding roller coasters: if your vehicle (class) is shit, it doesn't matter how good the ride is, it's going to distract and bother the hell out of you the whole time.

Rotations don't need to be super complex. In fact that often hurts more than it helps, but they do need to be engaging. No matter how complex a boss fight is, eventually they get repetitive, you get used to things. While this applies to classes too, typically the amount of engagement is a lot higher due to actively pressing buttons and the like throughout the encounter, whereas at a certain point you stop responding to encounter mechanics once you out gear them, out dps them, etc. Unless the boss encounter has you playing DDR the whole time, and those fights are very few and far between. It's easy to confuse amount of buttons with engagement though, and a lot of people do it. Frost DK is a good example of a spec that gets by with just 3 rotational abilities, and yet it flows exceedingly well, with very little downtime, and it's mechanics are engaging enough to create a solid baseline which can then be supplemented by talents and other bonuses.

This kind of goes back to the point with this entire thread; we don't need the extra bloat in our rotation, because it's just one more thing to deal with for such absolutely minimal gains. It is suitably ironic however that the same people who make arguments for retaining Furious Slash and Raging Blow as separate abilities also make arguments that rotations don't need complexity.

What is really disappointing with regards to Blizzard is you have someone like Archimtiros who has done the research and compiled data to explain his reasonings against furious slash. As well as other warriors like Artunias adding to the discussion with intelligent insight with no response from Blizzard but then they reply to really stupid comments like "I really hate momentum, can't you just remove it? feels clunky and not fun"

You guys must be really dedicated or have a very high patience threshold! Keep up the fight and great work!
