I'm indifferent to it. For one the 1998 animation set the standard for it, so it is hard getting used to this. Two there is no Susumu Hirasawa, that man is absolutely amazing and helped make the 1998 version great.
2016 Berserk was alright. I'm a bit sad they skipped the lost children arc, it was kind of an important transitional arc. It is hard to like things that are different, usually what it comes down too.

I am indifferent on this one as well. This anime stirred no emotions in me like the old one did. I don't know what about the old one that I felt was so good but this one did not have it. Maybe it was the music or the still frames I don't know but this one just lacked something.
I know the next one is coming next spring which I will probably watch but maybe I'll just wait the season out and binge watch it instead of watching episode by episode.

Manga is on hiatus again. I'm pretty impressed that they moved so fast in the last chapter. Shame that they left us hanging at a good part, though.
