    Legion Leveling Spec Hunter

    Hello everyone,

I have been looking for an answer to this question, but have not found it.
Could anyone link me a post answering it or give me their own opinion.

I wonder between MM and BM which is better to level from 100 to 110. I will mainly use my hunter for his professions so my plan is to get him 110 as quickly as possible after my druid so that i can skin leather and craft with LW.

    Thank you for your time.

Due to the way MM works I found I had a much easier time as BM, but tbh I had the easiest time as survival.

MM with Lone Wolf, Black Arrow, Patient Sniper, Barrage and Sidewinders will be the fastest spec to level with.

Couple times leveling up in the beta, BM was great.. spam bestial wrath / multi-shot with beast cleave just tearing through everything. Single target kills with crows, kill command, cobra shot pretty quickly.
The above post should never be taken seriously in any shape or form. Failure to do so might result in laughing matters.

I would 100% recommend Beast Mastery for leveling, and pool your artifact power till 110. Literally don't spend any of it at all, just have a decent amount of bag space for all the AP increasing items you'll be getting. Don't let anyone tell you its better to spend it while leveling... Unless you are 999% sure that's the spec you want to do... you will be just fine from 100-110. I know its only beta, but I've done it 3 times so far for each class I made, one of those characters was with a group of 3 (me included), so that made things smoother, but the rest was all me. Anyway End game BM seems to be pretty nice, so you might even decide to stay BM after all~

Well considering how much AP you gain to 110 and how after doenst really mater do you will put points in to artefact or not
BM is best for 110 grinding mostly thanks to blizzard"tunning" in other 2 specs and to be effective in killing you must get Hati trait and will keep steamrolling in early Suramar by the time till you get enough gear for myth dungeons can easly develop your main artefact to same level for like day or 2
Ofc that is object to change
Also you can keep stacking AP items from various thingsaround the world till raid comes and then to decide where to put all that power

I've found this to be true for both of my 110 hunters.

I will also warn everyone that a respec of artifacts costs you the same amount of AP it would currently cost you to level up. So for instance, I've used 16 points and my next is 14.4k AP. It would cost me those 14.4k AP to respec and I wouldn't get that back. Only the previously spent AP already put into talents.

Can confirm! The glories of black arrow is that the pet it summons taunts, which is really the only reason for using a pet while leveling.
BM sadly doesn't get very efficient until "Master of Beasts" from artifact; however, you wont get this until after you hit 110.

Honestly? Leveling has always been faceroll easy on any spec, so I'm sure you'll be fine with any of them. Just pick the one that sounds most fun to you so at least you won't be bored while doing it.

Any dps spec is faceroll obviously, but sometime you find a spec that gives you lvl 110 way faster cuz the spec is especially good to lvl. Hunter with their pet is obviously easy to lvl but i havent played the spec yet which brought my question for lvling to those in beta. I dont plan to play hunter lvl 110 other than for skinning and leatherworking.

This time around it is a bit different. With artifacts and the artifact point system, you REALLY don't want to be spending them in the wrong places. It can put you behind the proverbial 8-ball without you even realizing it before its too late. Level as any spec you like, just be careful, CAREFUL, where you decide to start putting your AP.

given u level duo with a tank - still mm or bm?

I would stick with whatever you think you will play at 110 so you can develop your weapon instead of starting one then putting it on the shelf.

MM by far then, but same talent setup. Have your tank friend pull 10 mobs, then Barrage > SW > Marked and they should be dead for sure.

Save it until you are 102, then go to your class hall and start the BM artifact quest. Then every now and then respec to BM and dump all your AP into it and swap back to MM.

Doesn't really matter. You gain way more AP at 110. Leveling AP is just a gimmick. But if you really want to, just stock your AP tokens.

But honestly if that botter you that much, just level with the spec you want to play at 110. Every hunter specs are fine.

And to answer the thread. I'm personnaly in love with SV (would certainly play that spec as main if I wasn't a tank). Always prefered leveling as a melee.

If you know what you want at 110, I would definitely use that to level. The practice and muscle memory you'll build by playing it every day far outweighs the tiny amount of time you may or may not save by using a different spec. Quest mobs die fast for any spec.

I did read somewhere that there would be an item* that increases artifact power gained. Should i stock all leveling AP rewards till i get one or more of those?

    * i believe it was called: Artifact knowledge
