There actually seems to be more of a gender problem.

About 95% of fatal police shootings happened to males (2015). That is widely out of proportion to their approx. half of the population.

    I dunno.

I respect their right to say whatever they want. They are not govt officials. So there is that.

However, I disagree. If you look at the raw numbers and reality, it paints a different picture. Taking a side like this is just the in thing right now. A company that has access to real world data should know better than to push this agenda. It's like the bud light commercial talking about the gender pay gap. They just look dumb now.

It sucks whenever people die, but it says a lot when you only give a shit when a white guy's kills a black guy.

It's not PC to be pro male. You gotta make it about race or no one cares.

I actually find it curious that anti-semitism is still so prevalent among the right wing. Historically, Europe was so insular and homogenous that Jews the closest thing to a foreign tribe that people could bash on, but that's not really the case anymore. There are so many easier targets to pick on and Jews have practically become honorary whites at this point. It's especially egregious because you would think the anti-Muslim sentiment would mean that all the alt righters would line up to support Israel like the politicians tell them they should, but they consider it so far beyond the pale that they can't help themselves.

I wonder what they will say after today's events? Should be interesting.

I bet their PR people are kicking themselves in the ass now.

Why? What does the tragedy today have to do with what they wrote?

The OP said they don't think companies like Twitter should endorse political campaigns. I say that it is up to them to decide what they should endorse and not the OP.

Can't use logic to explain hate. When you read their drivel it's all the same old bullshit about jews controlling everything.
What are we gonna do now? Taking off his turban, they said, is this man a Jew?
'Cause they're working for the clampdown
They put up a poster saying we earn more than you!
When we're working for the clampdown
We will teach our twisted speech To the young believers
We will train our blue-eyed men To be young believers

I will always support the original intent of Black Lives Matter, I don't support half the shit I read up on which is a bunch of black people ruining parades or events. I support the fact that BLM is meant to help bring equality. That a black life is just as important as any other life, that they aren't lesser. I wish with all my heart that most of the people screaming BLM actually thought about what it did and should stand for. Instead they spit on it and use it to do whatever they want and if anyone disagrees then they are labelled as a racist.

Anyways I think that Google and Twitter and any big company/celebrity who endorses BLM have good intentions but don't do it the proper way. If they said something like "We support what BLM stands for, which is yadda yadda yadda" then that would be more acceptable. Just stating what they did will likely empower some BLM people who will then abuse it more.

BLM support is a minority of the US. Most people support all lives mattering equally. You're Australian so I could understand how you might misunderstand BLM being mainstream though.

Ok, dear Hiram, please explain why the following is justice:

Shooting cops (5 dead, several injured)
Threatening the families of cops (kids and partners)
Stalking cops and just saying they should kill themselves
Calling all black cops traitors to the black people

Please tell me, where is that justice?

This figure is three times higher than the 13% black population figure, when you account for the fact that black males aged 15-34, who account for around 3% of the population, are responsible for the vast majority of these crimes.

Despite making up just 13% of the population, blacks commit around half of homicides in the United States. DOJ statistics show that between 1980 and 2008, blacks committed 52% of homicides, compared to 45% of homicides committed by whites.
More up to date FBI statistics tell a similar story. In 2013, black criminals carried out 38% of murders, compared to 31.1% for whites, again despite the fact that there are five times more white people in the U.S.

Despite the fact that black people commit an equal or greater number of violent crimes than whites, whites are almost TWICE as likely to be killed by police officers.
According to data from the Centers for Disease Control, between 1999 and 2011, 2,151 whites died as a result of being shot by police compared to 1,130 blacks.
Critics argue that black people are overrepresented in these figures because they only represent 13% of the population, but they are underrepresented if you factor in violent crime offenders. In other words, you would expect the number of blacks and whites killed by police to be roughly equal given that they commit a roughly equal number of violent crimes, but that’s not the case. Whites are nearly 100% more likely to be victims.

No they are people that find race problems where there arnt. They claim cops are going out to hunt blacks and assasinate them and execute them. Today they called the asian police officer that shot, a Asian White supremacist. They harass people on campus's and terrorize innocents, they block highways and streets and roads and harass those that are not black.

I mean, that's probably not what you mean, but it's definitely how it comes off. Treating the concerns of black people as though they're distasteful because of other unrelated happenings is pretty much exactly the problem.
"Cops are evil, thugs who die are worth more"

    Literally the creed of BLM.

So why do they stand outside police stations when criminals are shot and chant "Pigs in a blanket, watch them fry!"
