Need help building a gaming computer.

Hello, I recently moved and I gave my gaming computer to my brother. I wanted to build a new gaming computer (or two depending on cost and how long they will last preferably 3+ years) that is better then my old one. My budget is anywhere up to $1500 for both or 1000$ for a single computer I can go a little higher if needed.

I don't need mouses/keyboards/speakers/monitor etc. I do need windows 10 but I won't add that to the cost. The games i'll be playing are WoW, Tera, Fallout 4, and Sims 4. I'm looking to get max graphics if possible with at least 50-60 fps.

    My old build was this

    Cooler Master HAF 922 -amazon.com/gp/product/B0026FCI2U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
    G.Skill 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz - amazon.com/gp/product/B00339X1EM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
    Corsair Enthusiast Series 650-Watt 80 - amazon.com/gp/product/B004LB5AZY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
    Intel Core i7-2600K Quad-Core Processor 3.4 Ghz 8 MB - amazon.com/gp/product/B004EBUXSA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Thermaltake Frio Overclocking Universal CPU Cooler - amazon.com/gp/product/B003DW0GO2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
    Gigabyte Intel Z68 ATX DDR3 2133 LGA 1155 - amazon.com/gp/product/B00518M74I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti Superclocked 1024 MB - amazon.com/gp/product/B004KZHRAM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
    Asus 24x DVD-RW Serial-ATA Internal OEM - amazon.com/gp/product/B0033Z2BAQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hello. Do you need an optical drive for your new PC? What case size do you prefer?

    Quoting to fix links.

Also, to the OP: If you could, include some of the folling information: (from the forums sticky)

Include the following information when posting a request.

    Budget
    Resolution
    Games / Settings Desired
Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc)
    Country
    Parts that can be reused
    Do you need an OS?
Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)?

Ideally include a list of parts, we see the same request almost every day. There are other topics that have parts lists that you can copy and modify.

Yes I would need an optical drive (I have no case or anything) and I don't mind the case size. I've had big and medium cases.

Thank you for fixing the links. I posted them like that since I just made the account and figured people would like a link in case they don't know what parts they are.

    Budget - 1000$-1500$ for 1-2 computers
Resolution - 1980 x 1080 monitor (might occasionally be linked to a 38" TV screen.)
Games / Settings Desired - Tera, WoW, Fallout 4, Sims 4. Max settings
Any other intensive software - Nothing really.
    Country - USA
Parts that can be reused - No
Do you need an OS? - Yes (Doesn't need to be included in the price)
Do you need peripherals - No

For the games you're playing, this is more than enough. If you for some reason want more oomph or want it to last longer, get a 1070.

He said a little higher if needed. It's not needed, but that's where he'll find the biggest upgrade if he wants to.

It's at least $150 difference, not "a little higher" imo.

I added changed the graphics card to the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 8GB G1 Gaming Video Card , I had the money so why not if it'll last a while longer.

Is this a good wireless card? I forgot that it needs to be wireless. TP-Link TL-WDN4800 or should I get a cheaper one? I am currently running 50mbps download and 5-10 upload the distance is the room next door.

This wireless card should be good. GTX 1070 should be overkill in 1080p for those games you play. Also, I suggest getting a better case if you can stretch your budget, especially if you're getting a GTX 1070.

This case cant fit an optical drive so if that's important then no. If it's not then yes, it would be.

Probably your best bets sub-$100. I dont think there is any reason to go higher. Also I think Thermaltake Versa H21 which I offered higher will do just fine. If you're looking for something specific feel free to ask.

Its up to you ofc but i would buy a slim external optical drive for 20bucks and forget about it. You can switch it between pc's if you ever need it or carry to next builds.
