Looks like with success of pokemon go and nintendo's stock rising.

how do you make pokemon into a movie? didn't the failings of the dragon ball z movie a few years ago put doubts into investors making a pokemon movie?

Tetris is being made into a trilogy, so it doesn't really make any difference what the source material is, or whether it's popular or not.

Complete with kids getting smashed by cars for running across the street without looking so they can train faster? Groovy.

So Pokemon works in a cartoon....

But how are they going to explain the complete lack of blood and gore while animals are getting bitten, sliced, electrified, burned alive, crushed, etc?

Unless it is going to have gore, I'll watch it if its rated R for gore.

There's blood and cuts in pg-13 movies....the LA Guage is toned down and never graphic sex nudity or excisive violence.

Live action Pokemon sounds like a terrible idea. Unless they go for some "gritty reboot" (which would seem to defeat the purpose) the idea of forcing animals to fight one another just can't go over very well.

If the game is no problem.
Why would the movie be a problem?
