Makes me wonder how a combined SNES/NES console (done in a manner similar to this) with the game libraries of both those systems would fare.

Edit: Forgot one burning question. How the hell do I connect my Game Genie to this thing?

Only one Mega Man game, and not even the best one? I'll go ahead and pass, especially when other games that aren't nearly as good were included in the device (like Legend of Zelda 2, really?)

Mega Man 2 IS the best one...

Metal Blade is OP while many other weapons are complete garbage nonsense, no two-part post-game sequence (IE no doppelgangers, no Dr. Cossack, no Protoman Castle), Wily's Castle is honestly pretty shitty/bullshit, and really most of the robot master boss battles are just not all that fun in the first place. The last boss is a fucking projector, although perhaps the first time it was something of an interesting twist.

3/4/5 are much better. Franchise fatigue started to set in with 6 I feel and then 7/8 started sliding downhill, but 3/4/5 are really when the series hits its stride and I'm not sure which I like the most - they each have really great qualifies about them but minor nitpicks as well.

Its a neat oddity but really why such a small number of games? they could really hit the scalper collectors where it hurts by putting some rare games back in the wild this way like the mega drive one did.
still FF1,mm2, Castlevania and so on isn't bad.

If anyone else is a retro game collector, I advise you put strong effort into getting any NES games you're chasing before end of this year. 2017 may well see price spikes as more people get hooked on the retro collecting after being exposed to nostalgia through this.

Go play them. 2 has a lot of problems. Like, that Wily boss that if you use any of your crash bombs prior to going into the battle or you use any of them incorrectly you have to suicide and then grind energy cells to get a full bar of crash bombs... that's just bad design.

I've thought about picking up an original NES and some games, but meh...I'm not really the collecting type, my wallet isn't fat enough to support such a habit, and emulators are just fine. :O

I dunno, I keep thinking that I'd like to get into speedrunning some nice old nostalgic games, but then once again...emulator runs are considered just fine for most of those games.

See I have nothing against Emulators whatsoever. I just prefer sitting on the original system and playing the game. I actually use a Mega Drive emulator to play beta versions of games like Sonic 2.

Iirc, there was an emulator that could accept Game Genie codes.

Do you think it's 30 games forever and there will be a way to buy more games? Like some said, the list is good but we all know some games that are not in that list.

Being able to play Zelda 2 without an Emulator or worrying about my save being flush by the bad batteries my cartridge had is awesome.
