Blacks protesting police brutality flares up every 25 years or so. The first time in history I saw it mentioned was right after WWI with a bunch of black veterans returning from Europe.

Right now? I think we're over the hump and this will die down. If we don't do anything to fix it it will flare up again in 25 years or so.

That said, the whole social media thing is new and it's hard to see how it will affect things.

Or has it made it worse for BLM movement. Seems kind of counter-productive what has gone on recently. If I was a cop I would be super paranoid now, but thats just me. Are things going to get worse before they get better? I really hate seeing people doing their jobs get killed..even though they signed up for it.

All I hear from BLM is "waa waa, you were mean to us in the past so we're going to be mean to you today. waa waa." They don't realize that if we were still that country violence would have followed Barrack Obama around everywhere in 2008 and when elected he would have had to be held up in the White House or he would have risked assassination. BLM is living in their own little world like ISIS and other terrorist groups and need to come back to reality.

A lot of serial killers are also other races and religions that doing it for whatever tickles their fancy at the time. Hell, it's probably how some of them literally get off. It's only when it's an exceptional event when America pretends to care. A cop makes a bad judgement call and the perp dies from it, national headlines, protests, statements from the president, etc... Large shootout between gangs in Chicago, local news, forgotten after a few weeks. It's boring and nobody wants to give it attention anymore.
