Republicans and Democrats have been modern fascist and authoritarian for a pretty long time now. Is this news for some reason?

Unless your somehow implying that Obama and Clinton are not authoritarian in their policies?

Most American politicians are right-authoritarian. Not sure the point of this post?

We will elect another authoritarian this Novemeber, no matter who you vote for.

That was the point of the video, at this point, even if Trump is what you say he is, nobody will believe you, you guys have been calling everybody under the sun a Fascist since Berlin fell.

Well, not really. There are various degrees but when you have clearly stated positions that are in line with a certain ideology, one must call them for what they are. They don't have to be exact replicas of Nazi Germany or fascist Italy or Spain, and if you expect that then you're naive or just plain in denial.

Let me ask you this: what would it take for you to consider a candidate, politician, or party platform fascist? Do you expect to see swastikas, and goosestepping, jackbooted Brownshirts marching down the streets of Cleveland, with an equivalent of the Beer Hall Putsch or spray painting the Star of David and "JUDE" on businesses windows, or in this case perhaps "BLM"?

That's not going to happen nowadays. Again, the flag waving and cross carrying zealots, which is what the GOP crowd was, and their extremist, corporatist platform is enough to qualify them.

It's certainly not news to me, but the point of my posting this was simply to illustrate just how far one of the 2 major U.S. parties have gone by enshrining such extremism in their official platform, since I didn't see any of the usual suspects here posting their GOP platform as something to brag about (they were probably too embarrassed).

The Democrats are no less guilty of right-wing authoritarianism, except on a few social issues that they use as a sop to the supposed "left" in this country. In reality, Obama, Clinton, and their ilk are just the other side of the same coin, except they use duplicity and triangulation, where the GOP is more open about it.

We need a lot more choices than the plutocratic dictatorship duopoly we've had for decades.

Fascism is not a ultra right wing ideology, it takes from both the left and right and is actually centrist.

If fascism has lost meaning, then i'm assuming the same goes for socialist and commie.
Man, what are we going do with all those useless words?

Good thing I never saw Trumpy as a fascist, but just your standard far right dickbag.

I lump BLM in with terrorists. They fit the definition exactly
