Come on now, you can't tell me that a lot of this historical revisionism of Hillary and the clear focus on women/minority groups isn't obvious as all hell.

I mean sure, there's plenty of fluff. Its a convention, and this is all down ticket stuff. But acting like its all about how she's a woman is simply ridiculous.

This is the Democrats appealing (pandering) to minorities and women as hard as they can. It's a smart strategy, because they're groups that Trump has performed terribly with and groups that if they can win in large enough numbers will easily secure them a victory.

Because ever since Daddy Clinton the Democratic Party has been shifting right-ward. Only a few in the party are interested in going left-ward anymore, because going left means challenging Wall Street (and getting rid of the revolving door between DC and WS), breaking up big banks, etc., But since they pay out oh soo well, those few face a majority in their own party that refuse to acknowledge the Progressive agenda in favor of a regressive one that is typically in GOP land.

Well, in all honesty the party seems to be not cottoning protest and seems to want to micromanage the whole damn show to the point of it being just kinda dull and sterile.

The airing of grievances would go a long way here.

The nation isn't moving left as you have failed to understand American politics.

Americans in general have always been lliberal or libertarian on many issues, so they haven't needed to move left as they have been parked on that side of the road for the last 100 years. But when it comes to economics and defense the American public leans conservative without a doubt.

This is why Democrats went centrist in the 90's to shakeoff the label of weak national security from Dukakis defeat and the looming shadow of Reagan as the Soviet Union fell.

However, the centrist message the Democrats are still trying to push with Hillary doesn't work in the new world of millennials as they not only reject Reagenism but also the Third way centrist Dems of the 90s. Remember the centriest Dems of the 90's goal was to pull Reagan Democrats back to the party and it did work at the time. But now that strategy will fail moving forward as they have positioned themselves as the establishment.

Any time the party is labeled the establishment in American politics they lose, and they lose badly.
