status of heirloom trinkets (7.0.0)?

one of the things which made the above trinket powerful for HFC and soloing old content was that the absorb shield was multiplicative with resolve. now that resolve is gone, is it still worth getting? also, since haste and crit became more valuable to blood, and the devaluation of mastery should the DPS heirloom trinket be better even for tanking purposes now?

I found that on live it's still fairly useful to some degree, but on the beta the shield felt very weak past 101, I used it to 110 for testing purposes but quickly got rid of it at 110. I'd imagine the DPS version is a little better right now but I haven't done any math on it so don't take my word for it, it's simply speculation.
