Is the US election actually about the Supreme Court?

    1. Presented with two awful choices as President
    2. Even worse, no matter who wins, a continuing blocked status-quo in Congress or by Presidential veto
    3. Ineffectual Presidencies because their most powerful decisions again shot down via Congress OR the Supreme Court

This all lends credence to the very long term nominations (30-40 years) to the Supreme Court by any President having a much great impact on American lives than anything else in the medium and long run.

So, this would boil down to a choice NOT between the candidates and their policies, but purely their Progressive vs Conservative leanings.

This should mean that people who would prefer to vote independents or gag so much on their preferred party's candidate that they even go as far as voting for the opposite candidate (?!) or not vote at all, may be making a very grave mistake, since Supreme Court nominations will last and have a much longer impact than any one President.

Perhaps just hold your nose, swim past the poison and pick a political color instead?

It's not that bad, news media tends to be very negative.

It's the issue that affects the country the most, and it's important to those who know about it. But to say it's what the election is about......to the general electorate? No, it isn't.

It should be, why I could care less about HRC. Her only job as far as concerned is to put a left leaning judge on the court.

Abe Fortes resigned over 46 years ago now. I think it's been right leaning long enough
